I didn't get the gold for the Ravelympics. But I had fun trying. I actually had time ALONE on Saturday for a few hours and was able to get down and dirty with my knitting on my Lace & Cable Top. Then Sunday rolled by and that involved school clothes shopping, and cooking. When I finally was able to sit down, I didn't knit a lick. I was overcome with laziness. Behold the crappy obligatory WIP pic. I didn't pick it up again until last night. That's when I realized I made alot more progress than I thought.
You are to knit 8" after the garter stitch band followed by two rows of ribbing. It turns out, I had knit 7" below the band. If I'm lucky, it will be complete TONIGHT. I've not fully decided, but I may take a mini break. It's got nothing to do with mojo or anything. But I want to spend some time with my sewing machine. I recently got some new fabric and want to do a little something with it (and I mean little).
It's a hard juggle for me with the knititng and the sewing. My quilt guild meets up again in the next few weeks. It would be nice to have something for show and tell. ALSO... I STILL have a gift certificate for the Fat Quarter Shop that's screaming to be used.
But hey, I never say never. I already have a new project on the needles. Also, that February Lady Sweater just looks like it could easily become a much coveted project everytime I see it. Wink. wink.
